Often in nature, phenomena are so widely distributed in space-time that they refute any human concept of locality. If these processes seem indecipherable or unintelligible to us, it is due to our limitations, but we deeply sense their immensity. Therefore, we are neither inside nor outside them; we are in transition with them. With the performance “Un centimetro cubo” (One Cubic Centimeter), Fabio Perletta transcends the spatiotemporal specificity of the artwork’s experience, expanding and interweaving it with small asynchronous meanings, with opaque and open boundaries ready to embrace others. He proposes a new way of perceiving the dimension of the Stiffe cave, in relation to the presence and the ability to exist in the dimension of mystery and meaning, there and elsewhere.
